Cooper Homewood are offering an apprenticeship in Electrical Building Services Engineering working within a consultancy which is predominately an office-based role producing drawings, calculations, specifications and other documents to complete the design for new and existing buildings across a variety of different building types and sectors.
 

The main office is in Fareham where the candidate will be based. The role will involve travelling as and when required for attendance at meetings or visits to site. Other duties include:

  • Office based working with a team of professionals.
  • Attending college one day per week during term time.
  • Producing good quality work as instructed.
  • Assisting all members of the design team as required.
  • Learning new skills including CAD, electrical engineering, report writing etc.
  • Progressing towards consultancy professionalism.
The successful candidate will have an interest in Buildings, Construction and Engineering, be enthusiastic and willing to learn and have good communication skills. IT skills would be highly beneficial as well as an eagerness to learn and ambition to achieve. 
 
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grades A-C including English and Maths or Equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills qualification.
