Vortec Marine Ltd is a widely respected yacht service and repair centre, established in 2006 by Ross Collingwood.

Originally specialising in Oyster and Swan Yachts (accredited as the UK’s only Authorised Service Centre for Nautor’s Swan), Vortec Marine now offers this same high level of yacht maintenance and management across sailing and motor yachts of all makes, with workshops in Port Solent, Endeavour Quay, Gosport and Swanwick Marina on the Hamble.


 This exciting marine based role will involve training and employment in the following areas:

          Sail and powerboat technician

          Mechanical engineer to include serving and repair

          Systems engineering to include install and repair

          Routine vessel maintenance which may include polishing and antifouling

          Work location will vary

          Overseas work a possibility

          Interest in marine industry is essential

          Sailing knowledge is desirable

Experience in Marine engineering would be great, Customer facing role so need to have strong communication skills.
Eager to learn, ability to work autonomously, trustworthy, high level of workman ship, tidiness/cleanliness.
GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English are needed for this L3 apprenticeship.
