Easy Network are a leading experts in delivering Mobiles, Internet, Networks and Telecoms for businesses. They have a customer focuses non-sales approach to the way they run their business which means they have a good reputation and a very positive response from customers. 
Easy Networks are looking for a new IT Apprentice to join their successful team. As an apprentice you will provide 1st line (helpdesk) technical support to external customers, assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, email or onsite.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide technical support, either via phone, email or in the office
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service & adhere to service management principles
  • To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with issues
  • To log all calls on the call logging system (ticket system) and maintain full documentation
  • Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems
  • Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected
  • Help users of computer & telecommunications equipment by providing training & advice
  • To allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support member
  • To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house
  • Inventory management

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow specific procedures
  • Good analytical fault finding skills and creative approach to problem solving
  • Computer literate to a good standard (all Microsoft office applications)

The entry requirements for the role are GCSE English and Maths A-C/9-4 a Level 2 in ICT or Computer Science would be advantageous.

The apprenticeship will last for 18 months and will consist of on the job training and 'virtual classroom' sessions. As well as this training an assessor from Highbury College will come out to the work place every 6 weeks to assist with the NVQ work. 
Once the apprenticeship has ended there will be the opportunity to stay on as a permanent member of staff.
