AAT Accountancy Level 2/3 Apprenticeship – JSR Management and HR Consultancy Services

Portsmouth Road, Southampton

From £3.90 (increasing to £4.15 in April) an hour, dependent on qualifications and experience

 

Fast paced Accountancy Practice based in Woolston, Southampton, looking for a full time enthusiastic new team member.

JSR Management & HR Consultancy Services Ltd, Licenced Accountants are made up of a dedicated team. 

The Directors, Mr John Robertson MAAT and Mrs Susan Robertson MAAT ACIPP DET, have created an organisation that will provide clear solutions for businesses who need help with Acountancy/bookkeeping/finances and HR.

Responsibilities

Job Role will include bookkeeping/payroll processing and administration functions.  Full support will be given via training inhouse and through day release as an AAT Apprentice.

Students will learn and master financial processes, including accounting principles and concepts, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts, VAT issues, management accounting costing techniques and ethical practices.

This Apprenticeship contains four units which are assessed individually in end of unit assessments, and there is a synoptic assessment, sat at the end of the qualification, which draws on and assesses knowledge and understanding from across the qualification.

  • Advanced Bookkeeping – end of unit assessment
  • Final Accounts Preparation – end of unit assessment
  • Management Accounting: Costing – end of unit assessment
  • Indirect Tax – end of unit assessment
  • Ethics for accountants – assessed within the synoptic assessment
  • Spreadsheets for Accounting – assessed within the synoptic assessment

You will also need to build a portfolio of work-based evidence and be interviewed at the end of your apprenticeship by a member of the AAT.

Qualifications Required

Maths & English GCSE 9-4 (A*-C) or Functional Skills Level 2 and provide certificates.

 

Apprenticeship/Next Steps

Apprentices who complete this programme can progress to a Level 4 qualification including a Level 4 apprenticeship or into employment or higher education
