Level 3 Business Admin – Brooks Construction

Based in Hayling Island

£4.15 an hour (scope for increase based on performance) 20 days holiday + bank holidays

40 hours a week 8.30am – 5pm

 

Brooks Construction (UK) Limited is a professional friendly business established in 2008. We cover all aspects of the building trade. We operate all across the south, with main contracts with large housing associations

 

Responsibilities

This is a new role within our growing team, currently based in Hayling Island. As part of a team you will be in regular communication with our customers, suppliers and colleagues. Our company thrives to deliver the best customer service, we are highly professional, open and friendly and promote a busy working environment. The ideal candidate will relish working as a team and have an ability to adapt to themselves to work with people at all levels and ages. You must have a strong interest in career progression.

 

 

The Main Roles and responsibilities for this position are;

 

  • Liaising with customers and colleagues by taking phone calls, emails and booking in appointments.
  • Organising stock and office supplies
  • Completing spread sheets
  • Working closely with the team or customers on ongoing works
  • Supporting the workforce team with their administration and job sheets
  • Impeccable time management to ensure projects get completed by their deadline
  • Sending quotes
  • Basic office cleaning duties
  • Team Activities

 

We are looking for someone who will use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in activities and procedures.

 

You must be confident, motivated, organised, outgoing and able to meet deadlines, able to prioritise and work in a high pressured environment.

Qualifications Required

  • Maths and English at grade 9-4/A-C or Functional Skills Level 2

     

    Apprenticeship/Next Steps

     Apprentices build a portfolio of work and work place assessors will be in regular contact to provide support, and to arrange on-site visits to observe the apprentices’ ability and skills in their daily role. It is important for the apprentice to take ownership of their own learning by seeking out opportunities to gain new skills on the job with the employer.  The apprentice’s final grade will be determined by collective performance in the three assessments in the endpoint assessment. To achieve a pass or distinction the apprentice will need to score 60%-79% (pass), 80%+ (Distinction)

    The three assessments are:

  • Online Knowledge Based 50 multiple choice questions - 60 minutes (20%)
  • Portfolio Based Interview – 30-45 minutes (40%)
  • Project Improvement Presentation 20-30 minutes (40%)

Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship you can progress to a HNC/HND Business Administration Course, a Team Leading/Supervisor Apprenticeship or an Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship.

Alternatively the apprentice could complete short or bespoke courses to enhance their current skill set and experience. This could lead to further responsibilities or promotions within their workplace.
