Course details
For any apprentice that does not currently hold either a Level 2 AAT qualification or an A Level in Accounting they will need to complete for FREE a Level 2 Bookkeeping qualification with Highbury College. This will be included in the Level 3 apprenticeship but will mean that their apprenticeship length will extend from 14 months to 19 months.
The apprenticeship will need you to attend our college in Birmingham on a Thursday or Friday for a full college day which you need to commit to.
Apprentices are independently assessed at the end of their programme to achieve the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at a Pass or Distinction grade.
  • Synoptic Test (3 Hours on a College PC – 40%) Covering: IT Systems/Processes, Standards, Reporting, Analysis, Comms, Problem Solving, Quality and Accountability within a Financial Accounting Environment
  • A portfolio and reflective discussion (60%) showing evidence of knowledge, skills and behaviours while within the workplace had met required standards.
  • Standard Level 2 and Level 3 AAT Exams after each individual unit
This training will not be interrupted by COVID-19 measures as we are teaching apprentices using Microsoft Teams when they are unable to attend college.
