Digital/Social Media Marketing Assistant

Our customers range from Banks, Insurance, Government health, Intelligence and Cyber security organisations.
 
The role of Digital/Social Media Marketing Assistant will support the CEO, sales teams, development teams and all day-to-day marketing activities and administrative support. You will support campaign objectives associated to social media and digital strategies. You will collaborate with external P.R., marketing, digital and design print agencies. This role will also support all marketing, advertising and event/conference activities. You will attend in-office and virtual team meetings as directed.
 
You will learn industry standards and strategies associated with developing and marketing content on digital channels. You will also participate in public relations and advertising activities to support brand objectives.

Qualifications

GCSE 9-4/A*-C in English and maths or Functional Skills Level 2 in both, proof of certificates is required
 
There is no college attendance. Due to this, applications with less than the required grades will not be considered. Equally, applications received without stating maths and English GCSE/Functional Skills/equivalent results will not be considered.
 
What does the programme include?

This apprenticeship has been designed to develop the apprentice into the role of Digital Marketer and to provide them with the technical knowledge and understanding they require to be successful on this role.  
  • Understands and can apply marketing principles, customer lifecycles, customer relationship marketing 
  • Delivery of digital marketing campaigns and strategies 
  • Understand the principles of search marketing, search engine optimisation, email marketing, web analytics and metrics, mobile apps and pay-per-clicks.  
  • The principles of coding.
You will be working towards a Level 3 Standard in Digital Marketing and you will achieve the following qualifications:
  • MTA HTML 5
  • CIW: Site Development Associate, Internet Business Associate, Social Media
  • Internet Business Associate, Social Media
Upon completion you can claim membership as an Affiliate (Professional) member of the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and/or Associate membership.

What attendance is required?

Formal training usually takes place every one to two months, this will include 5 day block release whereby the apprentice will be required to attend dedicated training. The Assessor will liaise with apprentice and employer to set up mutually convenient times for consultation and assessment visits at the place of work.
Due to being a virtual apprenticeship the training can be completed at home or in the work place and would be agreed with the employer. Time spent training will come under the working hours per week.

It is a Government requirement for you to spend 20% of your apprenticeship working towards your “Off the Job Learning” – off the job learning can consist of college attendance, coursework, project related work, employer training, mentoring, and coaching.

Learning and assessment

Apprentices build a portfolio of work and workplace assessors will be in regular contact to provide support, and to arrange on-site visits to observe the apprentices’ ability and skills in their daily role. It is important for the apprentice to take ownership of their own learning by seeking out opportunities to gain new skills on the job with the employer. The apprentice’s final grade will be determined by collective performance in the assessments in the endpoint assessment. 

The assessments are:
  • Online knowledge based multiple choice questions
  • Portfolio based interview
  • Project improvement presentation
  • Employer reference.
Portsmouth College and Highbury College have merged to become the City of Portsmouth College. This apprenticeship will be registered under the Highbury College apprenticeship banner, with teaching and learning support from Portsmouth College.

Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, and subject to progress as an employee, Bridgeworks Limited would like to offer you a full time job.
