Data Gardener
Eastleigh - a 2 minute walk from the train station
£6.81 an hour, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, 35 hours a week. Pay a 2% flat rate commission on sales made, from the first day

We provide comprehensive financial data and business information on UK companies. Our data can be used for financial analysis by credit and risk professionals. IT can be seamlessly integrated into another systems by us, or our customers, and this data can be used for prospecting and marketing.
 
All companies need data, whether for prospecting, monitoring, full financial accounts, shareholders and patents, we have built a super platform which is ready to go to market.

Advance your career with data sales, this is complicated sales, we use advanced Ai for precision data and target a wide range of UK businesses with at least 5 staff. You'll need to think on your feet and understand technology to a degree whereby you can sell a tailormade service to company decision makers including but not limited to FTSE 100 companies. You’ll be expected to know about various industries and how they relate to our services.
You will receive training from experts in the field with a combined 60 years of sales and marketing experience. The role requires initiative and creativity to consider new markets and opportunities for the business.
This is mainly cold calling but you will be trained and nurtured to flourish in your sales career. 
You will use phone, email, and social media to generate additional sales. You will support, and be supported by, a dedicated member of the Senior Management Team (Chief Executive Officer, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer or Commercial Director).
 
We hire personality. Train skill. Any sales experience is good but not essential.
 
The role

Qualifications
 
GCSE 9-4/A*-C in English and maths or Functional Skills Level 2 in both, proof of certificates is required
 
Due to the demands of the role, applications with less than the required grades will not be considered. Equally, applications received without stating GCSE maths and English/Functional Skills/equivalent results will not be considered.
 
What does the programme include?

The Apprenticeship will focus on Business Administration and includes the following knowledge criteria:
  • Understanding the organisational purpose, activities, aims, values, vision for the future and resources
  • Knows the organisational structure and demonstrates understanding of the benefits, knows their role in the team and recognises how their skills will help them progress
  • Understands Laws, regulations and internal policies all related to their sector
  • Understands relevant external factors (policy change, supply chain, national/global markets, employment)
  •  Business Fundamentals – managing change, business finances and project management.
What attendance is required?

Attendance at College will be required on weekly on Wednesdays 9am-12pm. Time spent training will come under the working hours per week. Your assessor will liaise with you to set up mutually convenient times for consultation and assessment visits at your place of work.
It is a Government requirement for you to spend 20% of your apprenticeship working towards your “Off the Job Learning” – off the job learning can consist of college attendance, coursework, project related work, employer training, mentoring and coaching.

Learning and assessment

Apprentices build a portfolio of work and work place assessors will be in regular contact to provide support, and to arrange on-site visits to observe the apprentices’ ability and skills in their daily role. It is important for the apprentice to take ownership of their own learning by seeking out opportunities to gain new skills on the job with the employer. The apprentice’s final grade will be determined by collective performance in the three assessments in the endpoint assessment. To achieve a pass or distinction the apprentice will need to score 60%-79% (pass), 80%+ (Distinction).
The three assessments are:
  • Online Knowledge Based 50 multiple choice questions - 60 minutes (33.3%)
  • Portfolio Based Interview – 30-45 minutes (33.3%)
  • Project Improvement Presentation 20-30 minutes (33.3%)
Future prospects
 
Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, and subject to progress as an employee, Data Gardner may like to offer you a full time job. A wide range of openings are expected to become vacant over the next few years.
